A: This fiber laser marker excels at marking metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and titanium. It also performs well on some hard plastics and plating surfaces. It is not suitable for PVC or highly reflective gold/silver surfaces without specific lenses.

Q2: Is the software compatible with Mac OS?

A: The standard software (EZCAD) runs natively on Windows. However, you can run Windows via Boot Camp or Parallels on a Mac. Alternatively, we support LightBurn, which has native macOS compatibility.

Q3: How deep can it mark?

A: Using the 30W model, you can achieve an engraving depth of approximately 0.3mm – 0.5mm on stainless steel, depending on the marking speed and pass count. Depth can be increased with higher power settings or multiple passes.

Q4: Do I need any protective gear?

A: Yes. We strongly recommend wearing OD5+ laser safety goggles​ specifically rated for 1064nm wavelength to protect your eyes from reflected laser beams. The machine features a key switch and emergency stop button for operational safety.
